This is something I've been wondering about for a while and I finally have a reason to actually look into it. My father in law has a Bentayga that's been sitting more than usual lately and he mentioned it's been slow to start, which from what I understand is usually one of the first signs the battery is on its way out. I started doing some research to help him figure out the best route and honestly it's more complicated than I assumed. Apparently you can't just swap the battery on these cars the way you would on a regular sedan because the onboard systems need to recognize the new unit, otherwise things like the start stop function, the power management, and even some of the comfort features can start behaving oddly. I came across a page that specifically talked about Bentley battery replacement specialists and it actually explained the whole process in a way that finally made sense to me, including why the coding step after installation isn't optional. I used to think that kind of thing was just upselling but after reading through it I get why skipping it causes problems down the line. Now I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth having someone come to his place to do it or if the car needs to be taken somewhere, since he's a bit particular about who touches the vehicle which is completely understandable given what it's worth.
